I'm with you here. While I still feel a designers website is a reflection of their skills and abilities, the website must use these flashy techniques to focus the audience's attention to understand how you directly can solve their business problems not distract or muddy your message. When are you going to show me your new website?

Well, you know... I'm working on the web site now. My plan is by the end of the year I will have everything working as it should.
In terms of the "flashy" aspect of designer sites I can understand what you are saying up to the point where the flash gets in the way.
